Love in Action: The Ripple of Conscious Leadership Energy
I recently witnessed a moment that deeply moved me—one that speaks to the heart of what leadership is, and the power it holds to shape the people and spaces around us.
It began with a child—autistic, sensitive, brilliant in his own way, yet misunderstood by those closest to him. He lived in a space where he was constantly shouted at, corrected, and controlled in an effort to “fix” his behavior. One day, he turned to me and asked a question that stopped me in my tracks:
“What if a child is hated by the world—what would God say to that child?”
I took a breath and said, “God would remind him of how powerful he is. That even when the world forgets, he carries something stronger within—a love so steady it can ripple outward and shift even the hardest hearts.”
He absorbed it quietly. Then, later, as he was bathing, his older brother shouted at him—not out of cruelty, but mimicking the same tone he had learned from their father: rigid, commanding, transactional. The father witnessed this moment. And for the first time, he saw himself—not in the mirror, but in his son’s voice.
It shook him. It was a confrontation with the culture he had unknowingly created in his own home.
A woman nearby began to cry, feeling the heartbreak of the moment. This child—innocent, open, simply existing—was being treated like a subordinate in his own sanctuary.
Then something extraordinary happened.
The father broke down. He approached his son, hugged him, and said he was sorry. He asked for forgiveness and acknowledged the damage that had been done—not just to the child, but to their entire dynamic. And in that moment, he chose something different. He chose to lead with presence, awareness, and humility.
And right then, a transformation unfolded.
The child had a dark, calloused patch of skin on the back of his neck. Slowly, that patch began to shed. Healthier skin started to emerge. It was as if his body recognized the change in energy. He had been seen. Accepted. Loved. And this new atmosphere of safety allowed not just his heart—but his physical body—to begin healing.
What I witnessed that day wasn’t just an emotional breakthrough.
It was Conscious Leadership Energy in action.
It was a living example of how energy—especially the energy of a leader—shapes environments. How what we model gets mirrored. And how our presence (or absence) is always creating culture, whether we intend it or not.
What Does This Have To Do With Business?
Everything.
In business, we often focus on systems, processes, and outcomes. But beneath those layers, there is a deeper current: the energy we lead with.
It dictates how people show up. Whether they feel safe to speak, innovate, and bring their whole selves. It influences retention, resilience, and the soul of the organization.
When a leader chooses to lead consciously—to pause, reflect, and take responsibility for their internal state—they create a ripple of transformation that no policy or KPI can ever replicate.
This kind of leadership doesn’t just improve team dynamics.
It regenerates culture. It rehumanizes performance.
And it restores a deeper harmony in business that many are yearning for but don’t always know how to access.
Conscious Leadership Energy Is Not Soft—It’s Strong
This energy is not about being soft or passive. It’s about choosing presence over pressure. Integrity over image. It’s about recognizing that our people don’t need perfection—they need truth, trust, and a leader who’s done (or is willing to do) the inner work.
It’s in these quiet, pivotal moments—whether in homes or boardrooms—where true leadership emerges.
So I Ask You…
What energy are you amplifying as a leader?
Are your team members mirroring back patterns you want to perpetuate—or ones you’re ready to transform?
Because the moment you choose to lead with awareness, you initiate a ripple. And that ripple has the power to reach far beyond your company—to your clients, your partners, your family, and the world around you.
This is not just good leadership.
This is Conscious Leadership Energy.
And it’s what our world needs now more than ever.
